How do I create a new commission plan?
Creating a commission plan
Commission plans decide how what sales grant a commission to your staff members and what amount would be granted to each staff member. EasyTeam supports multiple commission plan types, allowing you to customize the way you incentive your sales team. 📈
To create a commission plan, follow these steps:
➡️ Go to the Commissions screen and click on the Commission Plans button.
➡️ Click on the Create plan button.
➡️ Choose the type of commission plan and click on the Continue button.
🔘 Option 1: Fixed commission
The Fixed method provides a straightforward approach where a percentage or flat amount is applied to all relevant sales. This ensures predictability and simplicity for both employees and managers.
🔘 Option 2: Sales goals commission
The advanced Sales goals method calculates a commission rate that varies based on the sales volume achieved by your employee.
Fill in the details of the commission plan:
Option 1: Configure a fixed commission plan
➡️ Choose a name for your commission plan.
➡️ In the Commissions section, choose the products that apply by checking the box on the left.
Use the filters and search buttons to easily find products and categories of products.
➡️ For each product you select, click either the $ option for a flat commission or the % options for a percent commission.
Then, fill in a commission amount or a commission percentage to apply on this product.
A fixed commission plan can include a mix of flat and percentage commission rates for different products.
➡️ On the right hand side, add staff members to the commission plan using the checkboxes
➡️ Optionally, choose any of the advanced features Discounts, Custom orders, Auto-include new products, Schedule.

➡️ Click Save.
Your new commission plan should now appear in the Commission plans list.
Option 2: Configure a Sales goals commission plan
➡️ Choose a name for your commission plan.
➡️ Define the sales goals and the calculation method:
Then, input the commission step ranges under Sales goals and choose a commission percentage for each step.
➡️ Select the Sales goals timeframe:
➡️ On the right hand side, add staff members to the commission plan using the checkboxes.
➡️ Optionally, choose any of the advanced features Discounts, Custom orders, Auto-include new products, Schedule.

➡️ Click Save.
Your new commission plan should now appear in the Commission plans list.
Verifying your commission plan
To make sure your new commission plan is working as expected, follow these steps:
➡️ First, make sure your sales are attributed correctly to a staff member that is defined in your commission plan. See How to attribute a sale to a staff member?
➡️ Go to the Commissions screen and select the staff member that should be attributed.
➡️ Select the commission plan from the commission plans list.
➡️ Use the date picker to select dates in which relevant sales happened.
Sales and commissions data might be delayed by 1-2 hours.
➡️ Find an attributed sale in this list and make sure the calculated value in the Commission column is correct.
