Managing Staff Member's Payroll Profile
Maintaining accurate staff payroll profiles is crucial for tax reporting and payment processing. This guide shows you how to manage all aspects of a staff member's payroll information.
Accessing the Payroll Profile
➡️ Navigate to the Staff page in EasyTeam.
➡️ Select the relevant staff member.
➡️ Scroll down to Payroll Profile.
➡️ Check the Staff payroll status badge to verify if they're active or missing information.
If the staff member is not invited yet or shows 'Not on Payroll', read How to invite staff members to payroll?.
➡️ Configure basic settings for Overtime, POS Tips, and Commissions Eligibility. If turned on, these will appear in the staff member's payroll runs.
➡️ Click Edit Payroll Profile for full profile settings.
Profile Settings
Personal Details
Maintain accurate personal information including name, date of birth, social security number, and resident address. These details are especially important for year-end tax reporting.
Contracts
Manage active contracts that define worker classification, either employee or contractor, overtime eligibility, hire date, and any benefits or PTO eligibility. Staff members can transition between different contracts as needed.
Work Location
Specify the physical work address and location for accurate tax reporting purposes.
Tax Information
Set federal and state filing statuses, allowances, additional withholding amounts, and tax exemptions.
Payment Methods
Configure how net pay is distributed, such as direct deposit details.
Time Off and Benefits
Assign specific benefits and time off policies after configuring them at the business level.
Termination
