Using the Manager View on Shopify POS

Manager View Overview



The Manager View in EasyTeam allows store managers to oversee and manage staff activities in real-time directly from the Shopify POS.

Accessing Manager View



Open Shopify POS as a manager or admin.
Add the Manager View tile from the + Add tile menu.
Select App > EasyTeam > Manager View tile.
Click the tile, enter your PIN code, and access the Manager View.

Features and Functionality



Real-time Staff Status



The Manager View displays the status of staff members currently on duty. This includes:

- Working: View clocked-in staff and monitor their working hours. Use this view to ensure compliance with break policies and verify that no clock outs are missed.
- Scheduled: View staff with upcoming shifts and check for any late arrivals.
- On a break: Monitor staff currently on break, including return times and any delays.

Taking Actions on Behalf of Staff



Managers can perform actions such as clocking staff in/out, starting/ending breaks, and adjusting shift times directly from the Manager View.

Steps:
Locate the staff member in the Manager View.
Click Actions next to the staff member’s name.
Select the appropriate action:
- Clock in/out: Adjust the staff member’s working status.
- Start/End Break: Manage break times.
- Adjust shift times: Edit clock in/out times and break durations. Read more below.

Make sure that all staff actions are correctly recorded to maintain accurate time tracking and payroll data.

Adjusting Clock In/Out Times



To modify a staff member's shift times:
Click Actions next to the staff member’s name.
Select Adjust shift times.
Edit the Clock In or Clock Out times as needed. Changes take effect immediately.
You can also add, remove, or adjust break times as required.

Store admins must enable shift time adjustments for managers. To do this, go to EasyTeam Settings and activate the option under the Time Tracking section.

Permissions and Security



Access to the Manager View is restricted to managers and is protected by a PIN code.

Store admins have the flexibility to enhance control over the Manager View through the EasyTeam Settings page. Admins can empower managers to take actions on behalf of staff members and grant permissions to adjust time cards. For more customization options, explore the Time Tracking section on the settings page.


FAQ



I can’t access the Manager View tile.
Ensure the Manager View tile has been added to your POS system.
Confirm you have the necessary Manager or Admin permissions.

Some staff members are missing from the list.
Verify that both you and your staff are assigned to the correct location in the Staff screen. The Manager View only displays staff scheduled or with time-tracking activity today.
If staff are still missing, check if they have been correctly assigned to their shifts and locations.

I can’t clock staff members in or out.
Ensure the option Enable manager actions on behalf of staff is activated under POS Manager View in the Time Tracking settings.

I can’t adjust shift times.
Confirm that the option Allow managers to adjust clock in/out and break times via POS is enabled in the POS Manager View settings.
