What Notifications Are Available in Easyteam?
Easyteam supports a growing list of notifications to help you and your team stay informed. This article outlines which notifications are currently live, what they do, and who receives them.
Each team member manages their own preferences and can individually subscribe or unsubscribe from each notification category.

Currently Available Notifications
- Notifications can be sent via email, SMS, push, or the in-app inbox.
- Notifications are triggered automatically by team activity and visibility is based on user role and permissions.
π Time Clock & Time Tracking
β Clock In / Clock Out Confirmation
Sent in batches every few minutes when staff members clock in or out.
If it's tied to a shift, the shift's start or end time is included for context.
Helps Managers and Admins quickly review attendance and compare planned vs. actual times.
β Late Clock-In
Triggered when an employee fails to clock in within several minutes of their scheduled shift.
Sent to Managers and Admins with the expected shift time.
Useful for spotting no-shows or late arrivals in real time.
β Forgot to Clock Out
If an employee remains clocked in past their scheduled shift end time, a notification is sent to flag the missing clock-out.
Sent to both the employee and their Manager or Admin.
Mention includes the last known scheduled shift end time.

Future notifications will include alerts for missed breaks and mandatory break reminders.
Time Off
β New Time-Off Request
Sent immediately when a team member requests time off.
Sent to Managers and Admins.
This helps ensure timely approvals and shift adjustments.
β Time-Off Approved / Rejected
Sent to the staff member after a decision is made.
Includes both the approval status and the full requested date range.

Schedules
β New Shift Scheduled and Updated Shifts
New and updated shift notifications are sent directly to affected staff members.
β Upcoming Shift Reminder
Sent 2 hours before the start of a scheduled shift.
Sent to Staff.
Automatically skipped if the user already clocked in or the shift was recently edited.

Future feature to notify staff when a schedule is formally published by a manager.
Payroll
β Payroll Run Confirmation
Sent by email only.
Sent to Admins after payroll is processed.
