Setting Up and Tracking Sales Goals
Setting Up and Tracking Sales Goals
Sales goals in Easyteam help you track and improve retail performance. Set weekly targets, monitor real-time progress, and make data-driven decisions across your locations to increase your revenue.
This guide walks you through setting up sales goals for your locations, understanding the tracking dashboard, and using performance data to optimize your targets.
Getting Started with Sales Goals
Access sales goals directly from your schedules screen in Easyteam.
➡️ Open the Schedules screen in Easyteam.
➡️ Look for the Sales Goals button in the top menu bar.
The Sales Goals dropdown shows your assigned retail locations. Each location displays its current status: either 'Active' if it has any goals set up, or 'No Goal' if it doesn't have any goals configured yet.
Choosing Your First Sales Goal
When setting your sales goals, Easyteam helps you choose realistic targets based on your store's performance data.
➡️ Select any location from the Sales Goals window.
➡️ In the Define Desired Goals screen, you'll see statistics based on your store's average weekly sales from the past three months.
Easyteam provides suggestions for goals based on your historical data.
➡️ Enter your desired weekly sales goal in your store's currency.
You may optionally set a labor cost goal. Read more about this goal type here.
➡️ Click Save
Your goals will be tracked starting this week. Read on to learn how sales goals are measured.
Tracking Current Goal Progress
Easyteam displays your sales performance through status cards and a detailed chart on your schedules screen.
The status card shows your total sales so far this week and your weekly goal. You'll see one of these status indicators:
On Track: Your current sales are meeting the expected weekly target. For example if it's Tuesday and you're already at 75% of your sales goals then you're 'On track' to reach the goal.
Reached: You've already achieved your weekly goal.
At Risk: Your current sales are below the expected weekly target.
In addition to the summary card, you can find a chart of your weekly sales compared to your goal:
➡️ To reveal the chart, click View and under Charts select Sales Goals
The sales chart shows two important lines: The blue line shows your actual cumulative sales, adding each day's sales to the previous total.
The gray dotted line shows your target, rising steadily from zero to your weekly goal.
The chart allows you to get a bird's eye view of your daily sales compared to your expected weekly goal.
Note sales data for today can be delayed by 1-2 hours.
Managing Goals Over Time
Your sales goals automatically carry forward to future weeks until you change them. This means you don't need to set new goals every week unless you want to adjust your targets.
➡️ To update a goal, click Sales Goals and select the location.
➡️ Enter the new goal amount and click Save.
When you change a goal mid-week, the new goal applies immediately to the current week and for future weeks.
Even after you change a goal, previous weeks retain their original goals for accurate historical tracking.
Use the date picker on the Schedules screen to view goals for different weeks and your performance in those weeks.
By default, goal tracking begins only after you create goals for a specific location. If you'd like to view goal performance data from before your goals were created, please reach out to our support team via the chat bubble in the bottom right of the screen.
Setting Up Goals for Multiple Locations
Each retail location can have its own unique sales goal, allowing you to account for different store sizes and market conditions.
➡️ Return to the Sales Goals window by clicking Sales Goals again.
➡️ Select another location to set up its individual goal.
When viewing multiple locations in schedules, you'll see their combined goals and progress. Easyteam clearly indicates if all locations are meeting their targets or if some locations need attention.
Goals are tracked separately for each location.
